Hard Surface Modeling Investigation

Hard surface modeling is the modeling of anything that is inorganic or man made. This is one of the two types of modeling, the other of which is organic modeling which is the modeling of anything that is organic or involves life/life processes. Hard surface models tend to have "hard surfaces", sharp edges,  and angular shapes in contrast to the smooth, flowing nature of organic models. Another aspect of hard surface models is that they are not typically made to be animated, if they are going to be animated then they are then considered organic models.
